Armed robbery investigated

Dowagiac Police Chief Tom Atkinson reports that officers are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Dowagiac Liquor Store, 901 Spruce St., on Thursday night.
Dowagiac officers were dispatched to the store at approximately 10:55 p.m. for an armed robbery that just occurred.
The victim clerk advised that two black male subjects entered the store with handguns and demanded money.
The clerk complied and the suspects left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
A City of Niles tracking dog was called to the scene and tracked the suspects across a parking lot to an area where a vehicle was believed to have been waiting.
The suspects were described as black males, approximately 6 feet to 6-foot-2, wearing all dark clothing.
This robbery remains under investigation by the Dowagiac Police Department.
