NILES - Ishmael Hernandez of Dowagiac Diamonds United is the leading scorer in the Blossomland Soccer League as of May 11.
Hernandez has six goals in two matches.
Jay Fettig of Kickers has four goals, while eight others are tied with two goals.
Among them are former Dowagiac players Kevin Bell and Samuel Hernandez.
Diamonds United also leads the league in scoring with 18 goals.
Kickers is next with nine goals after two matches.
Play will continue this weekend with a pair of games.
On Friday at 6:30 p.m., Jaier will face the Mariners at Lake Michigan College.
On Sunday, the Tornadoes will take on the Chiefs at Ballard Elementary in Niles at 4 p.m.

Whirlpool United defeated the visiting Dowagiac Chiefs in Blossomland Soccer League play Wednesday night, 3-1.
Scoring goals for Whirlpool United were Takeo Ishii (2) and Carcelo Toledo.
Matt Joanis had the lone goal for the Chiefs.
Whirlpool United is now 1-0 on the year. The Chiefs are 0-1.
