DUHS tennis team splits with Coldwater

The Dowagiac varsity tennis team split its Big 16 Conference crossover match against visiting Coldwater Wednesday afternoon.
The Chieftains and Cardinals had to settle for a 4-4 tie after Coldwater won the final match of the day, rallying from a 5-0 deficit in the third set.
Picking up victories for the Chieftains were Adam Carlson, David Maxey, Sonny Swartz in singles and the doubles team of Andrew Cuthbert and Tyler Cook.
Dowagiac (1-8-1) will return to action on Saturday when it travels to Three Rivers. The tournament is for doubles.
