Vikings split with East Lansing

NILES - The Niles varsity baseball team suffered its second loss of the season on Saturday against East Lansing.
Cory Coquillard had three RBIs on the day, getting one in the first game and two in the second.
The Vikings won the first game 9-2, but fell in the second 9-5.
Jesse Sallak was the winning pitcher in teh first game for Niles.
Top hitters were Josh Henry going 1-for-3 with a double, Rick Storm going 1-for-2 with a double, Coquillard going 1-for-2 with a home run and Adrian Davis going 2-for-5 with a double.
Even with two home runs from Coquillard in the second game, the Vikes couldn't pull off the win and lost 9-5.
Coquillard was the losing pitcher, but went 2-for-3 with two home runs at bat. Steve Clanton went 1-for-3 with a double.
Niles, now 13-2, will host Coldwater Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
