Niles players sign with KVCC

NILES - Brandywine's boys track team picked up a win Monday afternoon at River Valley, while the girls suffered the loss.
The boys' team tied with Coloma with a team total of 64 points and got a huge 117-10 win over River Valley.
The girls' team suffered a 69-47 loss to River Valley and a big 102-22 loss to Coloma.
Taking first place for the boys were Brian Wieger in the 1,600 meter run (5:08.1) and in the 3,200 meter run (11:29), Ricky Wood in the 800 meter run (2:15), Ryan Hartman in the shot put (39-7.25) and in the discus (114-6), Kyle Perry in the long jump (17-2.75), Kyle Low in the high jump (5-6), Matt Duckett in the high hurdles (19-5), Caleb Frazier in the 400 meter run (54.62), Lance Taliaferro in the 800 hurdles (47.3), Justin Price in the 200 meter run (25.3) and Adam Prescott and Josh Benjamin in the 100 meter (12.6)
First place finishers in relays were Low, Marcus Miller, Wieger and Wood in the 3,200 rela, (9:16), Miller, Duckett, Prescott and Benjamin in the 400 relay (49.1), Price, Wood, Frazier and Jesse Daniels in the 1600 meter relay (3:48.2) and in the 400 meter relay (49.1).
Second place finishers for the boys were Hartman (shot put, discus), Perry (long jump), Low (high jump), Prescott and Benjamin (100 m), Daniels (long jump), Frazier (high jump and 400 m), Taliaferro (800 hurdles), Adam Bruni (high hurdles), Dan Devos (1,600 m), Price (400 m), Duckett (800 hurdles), Eugene Miller (800 m), Benjamin (3,200 m) and Wood (3200 m).
First place finishers for the girls were Lisa Konopinski in the discus (86-5) 1600 meter, (6.18) and the 3,200 meter (14.15), Amy Konopinski in the 800 meter (54.8), Jessica Herman in the 100 meter dash (17.5), Caylin Garrad in the 400 meter (1:16.5).
Second place finishers for the girls were Michelle Smith (200 meter), L. Konopinski (discus) and Garrard, Smith, A. Konopinski and L. Konopinski in the (1,600 relay).
Both track teams return to the field on Friday when they travel to St. Jospeh for the Rotary Meet set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
