Pat Hillmann retiring in Sept.

THREE RIVERS - The Domestic Assault Shelter Coalition (DASC) Board of Directors announced Tuesday that Pat Hillmann, executive director of the organization for the past 16 years, will retire in September.
Stahl said the board formed a search committee to hire the new executive director, and that Hillmann will work with the board and staff to make a smooth transition.
DASC is a private, non-profit organization serving domestic violence and sexual assault survivors in Cass and St. Joseph counties since 1984.
DASC provides safety, information, resources, counseling and advocacy by focusing on the customer empowerment and self-determination. To contact DASC call 1-800-828-2023 seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
at Wood Fire May 1
The DASC board's first Jazz Nite Out takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. May 1 at Wood Fire Restaurant, 134 S. Front St., Dowagiac. Tickets cost $20 for the Sunday evening event, serving Wood Fire special hors d'oeuvres, beverage and dessert, with a cash bar. Billy Nix Band will provide live music.
All proceeds benefit the Domestic Assault Shelter Coalition, a Cass and St. Joseph County United Way agency.
