Business students win gold, go on to compete in California

NILES - Student members of the Niles chapter of Business Professionals of America brought home the gold at the 2005 State Leadership Conference in Kalamazoo, March 17-20.
Claire Blanchard won 2nd place in Medical Office Procedures and Jeremy Ockerman placed 7th in VB.NET Programming. Geoffery Antos won a gold medal for Administrative Support Concepts, the bronze medal for Information Technology Concepts, 2nd place in Computer Networking, and 5th place in C++ Programming.
Other students who competed in the event were: Sarah Dreher, Tami Madison, Nick Zechlin, Danielle Foster, Nathan Fink, Ashley Jenks, Matthew Smith, Collin Aycock, and Kyra Carpenter.
These winning students will represent Niles at the 2005 National leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif. on April 21-25 and will be accompanied by their advisors, Michele Clement and Susan Miller.
The Niles winners will attend workshops designed to aid in professional development. The valuable skills they acquire will serve them in their future business endeavors in the working world.
