HOBART - Three Niles wrestlers competed in this years Hobart Folkstyle Wrestling Open this past weekend.
Jake Glueckert earned a second place Silver medal at 112 pounds. Glueckert served up two pins in the first and second rounds of the tournament before losing a close 3-4 decision in the third, he followed that up with another win by pin in the fourth round earning him the medal.
Todd Scansen took home the third place Bronze medal in the 160 pound class. Scansen won the first round by 14-2 decision, then suffered a second round lose by pin, followed by winning both the third and fourth rounds with a win by pin to give him the medal.
Derek Percell wrestled at 145 pounds, but lost both his first and second match to some very talented wrestler's eliminating him from the tournament.
The off season wrestlers return to action Sat. March 19 at Goshen High School and the Lakeshore Tournament at Lakeshore High School March 18 &19.
