Dowagiac will take a mixed squad of varsity and varsity "B" team wrestlers to the Brandywine invitational on Saturday.
The Chieftains and host Bobcats will be joined by Mendon, Eau Claire, Lawton and Niles on Saturday. Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
In the first round, Dowagiac will wrestle Eau Claire on Mat 3, while Brandywine will face Mendon on Mat 1 and Niles will face Lawton on Mat 2.
In the second round, Dowagiac and Niles will square off for the second time this season on Mat 2. Brandywine will wrestle Eau Claire on Mat 1 with Menton and Lawton wrestling on Mat 3.
Dowagiac will face Mendon in round 3 on Mat 3, while Brandywine will wrestle Lawton on Mat 1 and Niles will wrestle Eau Claire on Mat 2.
In round four, Dowagiac will face Brandywine on Mat 1, Niles will face Mendon on Mat 2 and Eau Claire will face Lawton on Mat 3.
In the fifth and final round, Dowagiac will take on Lawton on Mat 3, Brandywine will take on Niles on Mat 1 and Eau Claire will take on Mendon on Mat 2.
Brandywine is heading into the invitational on a two-match losing streak. The Bobcats fell to River Valley 41-33 on Jan. 5 and lost to Cass 45-30 Wednesday.
Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for students or $12 for a family pass. No passes of any kind will be accepted at this tournament.
Concessions will be available throughout the day.
