CASSOPOLIS - Money given to our children after we die can be welcomed, but an even greater gift can be to leave the story of your life.
A way to put down your personal life stories for future generations is being offered by the Cass County Council on Aging (COA) on Decatur Road in Cassopolis.
A trained facilitator will lead the participants through themes and help them invoke memories of events, once known but filed away, seemingly forgotten.
As part of their life enrichment, the process will encourage the writers to look at their lives and appreciate all that they have been through, both good and bad, and move forward with optimism.
The course will run on Wednesdays for seven weeks, beginning on Oct. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, with the last class on Nov. 17.
The cost is $50, but a limited number of scholarships are available and there is a special rate for couples.
Pre-registration is required. Call the COA at 269-445-8100, or 800-323-0390 to register or with questions.
