Southwest Michigan College was overtaken by runners Tuesday, when two schools hosted simulatenous, yet independent cross country meet on the school's course.
Both Edwardsburg and Cassopolis hosted meets at SMC Wednesday.
The Eddies held a dual meet with Buchanan, while Cass hosted an invitational with Brandywine, Berrien Springs and Eau Claire.
Edwardsburg had more success in its portion of the event, beating Buchanan in both the boys' and the girls' races.
The Eddies enjoyed particular success in the boys' race, taking four of the top five spots to beat the Bucks 21-35.
James Greenfield of Edwardsburg was the ran winner in a time of 18:20, followed by Mike Penninger in second in a time of 18:27.
Harper Suller was Buchanan's top finisher, taking third place overall in a time of 20:17.
Edwardsburg then took fourth and fifth places, but the Bucks grabbed the next three slots.
John Young was the second leading Buck with a time of 21:44, good enough for sixth place.
Ryan Darmas was seventh with a time of 21:59 and Aron Burns was eighth with a time of 22:35 for Buchanan.
In the girls' race, Edwardsburg again won, but by a smaller 24-33 margin. As in the boys' race, the Eddies took first and second place. Angie Bronicki won the race in a time of 22:59.
Buchanan's Gina Sabasty finished in third place with a time of 24:07. She was followed by Laura Kulis in fourth with a time of 24:10 for the Bucks.
Cassopolis didn't fare as well in its meet, finishing tied for third in the boys' race and failing to earn a team score in the girls'.
Berrien Springs won the boys' race convincingly. The Shamrocks finished with 28 points, well ahead of Eau Claire's 57, good enough for second place.
Kyle Banish of Berrine Springs won the race in 18:38. Brandywine's Brian Wieger took second in 19:24.
Dan Devos was the Bobcats' second best runner, finishing in seventh place in a time of 21:07.
Brandywine and Cass finished tied for third with 64 points.
Berrien Springs also won the girls' race, but Eau Claire did not compete and Brandywine and Cass did not have enough runners to complete a team score.
The Shamrocks' Becky Miller won the girls' race in 22:41. Brandywine's Caylin Garrard finished third in a time of 25:31.
The Bobcats had one other runner in the race, Sue Pearman, who finished 11th.
Brandywine also ran in the Jackson Invitational on Saturday. The Bobcat boys place 13th out of 16 teams, led by Dan Devos. Devos finished 63rd with a time of 20:09.
Caylin Garrard was Brandywine's only runner in the girls' race, finishing 41st in a time of 23:59.
Brandywine hosts the county meet Saturday at 10 a.m.
The meet will be run at the Junior/Senior High School.
