Buchanan sweeps Cass

Buchanan ran its record to 7-0 in dual meets Wednesday by coasting to a 8-0 victory over visiting Cass.
While the Bucks won every match in straight sets, it as again Buchanan's doubles teams that put on particularly dominating performances.
In the four doubles flights, the Bucks dropped just one game and shut out the Rangers in all other sets. Buchanan only lost five games in the singles flights.
Ashley Shepherd at No. 1 singles and Jaclyn Mummaw at No. 2 served up Buchanan's other two shut outs, each winning 6-0, 6-0. The two beat Cass' Sarah Kwest and Brittany Polmateer, respectively.
Chelsea Ghatoaura won at No. 3 singles, beating Cally Hass of Cass 6-1, 6-1.
Olivia Bonardi followed at No. 4 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Cass' Kelli Klimak.
Lizzy Thornton and Megan Vylonis at No. 1 doubles, Hannah Flood and Nicole Moyer at No. 2 doubles and Robyn Bahr and Leslie Niemier at No. 3 doubles all won 6-0, 6-0 for Buchanan.
At No. 3 doubles, Brittanee Smeltzer and Terra Linville won 6-0, 6-1 for the Bucks.
Buchanan's home match against St. Joseph scheduled for tonight has been canceled. The Bucks' next match come Saturday when they play in the Kalamazoo Tournament.
