Scrimmage pairings announced

Dowagiac will join Hopkins, Sturgis, Portage Central and host Mendon in a mega scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 20 beginning at 5 p.m.
The format will consist of 12 minutes of offense, a one minute break and then 12 minutes of defense.
There will be a five minute break between sessions.
Dowagiac's varsity squad will open up against Sturgis, while Three Rivers will face Hopkins, while Mendon and Sturgis do not compete in the first session.
In the second session, Dowagiac will take on Mendon and Portage Central will face Hopkins. Three Rivers and Sturgis will rest.
In the third session, Mendon faces Portage Central, while Three Rivers faces Sturgis. Dowagiac and Hopkins will rest.
The fourth session has Hopkins taking on Sturgis and Dowagiac taking on Portage Central. Mendon and Three Rivers will rest.
The fifth session consists of Mendon taking on Hopkins and Three Rivers taking on Three Rivers. Sturgis and Portage Central will rest.
In the final session, which does not include Dowagiac and Hopkins, Mendon will take on Sturgis and Three Rivers will take on Portage Central.
The Dowagiac junior varsity football team will travel to Three Rivers for its scrimmage, while the freshmen football team will travel to Portage Central.
At the JV scrimmage, which will begin at 4 p.m., Dowagiac will face Hopkins and Portage Central will take on Sturgis.
Three Rivers will not compete in the first session. Mendon does not have a JV squad.
In the second session, Dowagiac will take on Three Rivers, while Hopkins will take on Portage Central. Sturgis will rest.
The third session will have Dowagiac taking on Sturgis and Hopkins taking on Three Rivers. Portage Central will rest.
Dowagiac will sit out the fourth session as Hopkins takes on Sturgis and Portage Central takes on Three Rivers.
The fifth session has Dowagiac taking on Portage Central and Sturgis taking on Three Rivers. Hopkins will rest.

The freshmen scrimmage will also begin at 4 p.m. No schedule has been released.
