In Babe Ruth's 13-year-old tournament, the All-Stars from Niles made it all the way to the championship game, but lost 5-1 to Grosse Point South, finishing runners-up.
The national regionals will be played at Babe Ruth Stadium beginning July 29 and going through July 31. While Grosse Point South is Michigan's representative, Niles gets an automatic berth into the Ohio Valley Regional because it is the host team.
Niles opens the regionals with a rematch against Grosse Point South at 8 p.m. July 29.
State champions from Illinois, Western Kentucky, Southern Indiana, Northern Indiana, Wisconsin, East Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio will be at the regional.
