KALAMAZOO -- Chris Singleton, a senior at Dowagiac Union High School, pitched the Kalamazoo Maroons baseball team to its last victory of the season.
The Maroons captured the Kalamazoo League championship.
Singleton worked five innings, allowing three hits, just one walk with nine strikeouts. The Maroons finished the year with a 19-4 overall record.
The Maroons finished tied for first in the Illinois league and finished second in the Grand Rapids league.
Singleton was the only Maroons' pitcher to go undefeated on the year as he posted a 6-0 record with two saves.
Singleton also saw time at first and third base for the Maroons.
