The Niles boys cross country team finished second in a Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference West Division meet Wednesday afternoon.
St. Joseph won the event with a team score of 32 and Niles finished second with 49. Lakeshore took third with 51 and Dowagiac came in fourth with 99.
Logan Todd was the top finisher for the Vikings, coming in at 17:33. Trevor Taylor finished at 17:46 and Charles Nelson came in at 17:52. George Nelson finished in a time of 18:02 while Austin Neilson finished at 18:17 and Steve Scally finished at 18:25.
The Niles cross country team returns to action Saturday at the Portage Invitational.
