Former standouts on Niles roster

NILES -- Former and current high school standouts from Niles, Brandywine and Dowagiac fill the roster for the Niles All-Stars competing in this weekend's Niles Classic hosted by the Greater Niles Babe Ruth League.
Niles graduates Isaiah Beckman, Bubby Carnes, Brett Beitzel, Derek Janke, Rick Morrison, Brooks Bonner, Ryne Dowling and Casey Hood will join Brandywine graduates Tom Ely and Pat curran as well as Dowagiac graduates Chad Rohacs and Matt Carlson as the older players on the Niles All-Stars.
Current Niles student-athlete John Kessick, Brandywine's Aaron Holy, Kory Bridges, Billy Syrette and Chris Carpenter along with Dowagiac's Chris Singleton make up the younger set of players on the All-Star squad.
The team is coached by Doug Janke, Tom Bonner and Bill Beckman.
Niles plays its first game tonight at 8 p.m. against the Blues. The All-Stars return to action Saturday at 5:30 p.m. against Post 50 and at 8 p.m. against the Vipers. All of Niles' games will be played at Thomas Stadium
The tournament playoff games will be held Sunday at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. with the championship game set for 6 p.m.
