Buchanan wins Battle Creek St. Phil title

BATTLE CREEK — The Buchanan volleyball team went 6-0 en route to winning the Battle Creek St. Philip Invitational Saturday.
The Bucks swept Frontier Camden, Union City and Leland in pool play, winning all three matches in two sets.
In the Gold playoffs, Buchanan defeated Athens in the quarterfinals 25-2, 25-4 and Kalamazoo Central in the semifinals 25-17 and 29-27.
The Bucks had little trouble with Coldwater in the championship match, winning 25-11 and 25-17.
