VICKSBURG — The Buchanan volleyball team tied a school record for victories in a single season by going 4-0 at the Vicksburg Mini Tuesday.

The Bucks are now 45-5 on the season following wins over Hamilton, Portage Northern, Vicksburg and Edwardsburg.

The 45 wins ties the school record set last season.

Franki Strefling had 56 kills, 33 digs, 16 blocks and seven aces for the Bucks.

Brandywine went 2-2 at Vicksburg, beating Parchment and Hamilton, but falling to the host Bulldogs and Unity Christian.

Sydney Carlson and Olivia DePriest both had 25 kills. DePriest also had a team-high eight blocks, while Carlson had 21 digs.

Edwardsburg was also 2-2 at the Vicksburg Mini as it defeated Kalamazoo Loy Norrix and Unity Christian, but lost to the host Bulldogs and Buchanan.

No individual statistics were provided.
