William Mack Milliron, 63

Died: Feb. 4, 2013

William Mack Milliron, 63, of Cassopolis, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born April 8, 1949 in Anguilla, Miss., to Wilfred and Lena (Salsbury) Milliron.

He married Gloria Jane Potter on Aug. 25, 1969, in Decatur. His wife preceded him in death on Sept. 29, 2010.

He was also preceded by his parents and one sister, Mary Milliron.

Mack loved staying busy. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandkids and enjoyed fishing and cookouts and camping. He liked traveling and sightseeing. He liked his coffee. He and his wife loved going out for walks and continued to do so until they were physically unable.

He loved his dogs, Scamper and Bella, who stayed at his

side to the very end.

Mack worked all of his life to take care of his family, retiring only because of health issues.

He would do anything he could to help anyone, especially his kids.

 

Mack will greatly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by: three daughters, Linda (Delmer) Matheny, Carrie (Debbie Brown) Milliron and Tina (Allen Adams) (Jeff) Tobias, all of Cassopolis; two nieces he and his wife raised as daughters, Mary (Trampis Ottman) Hunt and Jackie (fiancé Scott Yoder) Hunt, both of Cassopolis; 10 grandchildren, William (Rachael) Milliron, Kendra Milliron, Dakota Matheny, Kevin Lytle, Justin, Sarah, and Kody Matheny, Michael Hilyard and Kayla and Jennifer Tobias; two great-grandchildren, Kaden Johnson and Emily Brooks; one sister, Helen Bull of Darian, N.Y.; one brother, Jim (Margaret) Milliron of New York, N.Y.; sisters-in-law, Pat Fisher of Allegan, Brenda (Alvin) Schaffer of Cassopolis, Charlene Stahl of North Carolina and Lillian Lucille Halcumb of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and two brothers-in-law, Charles (Carol) Potter of Cassopolis and Michael (Alicia) Potter of Eau Claire.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Feb. 9, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis, with Pastor Stephen Mead of Bethel Community Church, Cassopolis, officiating.

Mr. Milliron will be laid to rest beside his late wife in Keeler Cemetery, Keeler, Van Buren County.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
