Get those creative juices flowing for the Four Flags Area Apple Festival window-decorating contest, which will be judged Sept. 27.

All local merchants are encouraged to participate, show their Niles pride and support the Apple Festival.

Contestants are asked to decorate according to the chosen theme — “40 Years of Festival.”

Karen Alexander, chairwoman of the window-decorating contest, said that just about anything goes.

“We like to see the town decorated really nice,” Alexander said.

Prizes will be awarded following judging. The traveling trophy and a ribbon will be given to the winner to be displayed for the next year. All participants will receive ribbons as well.

Also, specify if the decorations will be on the inside of a window so that it won’t be missed.
