Leader Publications makes car shopping simple

Published 4:59pm Wednesday, September 5, 2012

People are shopping for automobiles a lot differently than 10, 20 or 30 years ago.

New technology allows people to take their search online, on their smart phone or through traditional means.

The choice is up to the individual.

That’s the concept behind Leader Publication’s newest product, USAutos.net Michiana Edition, which launches Thursday, Sept. 6.

Customers will be able to easily search for local, new or used automobiles in several ways.

A more traditional and free auto magazine will be distributed at more than 300 locations in Michiana on a weekly basis.

People can also search more than 1,000 local, new and pre-owned vehicles online at www.southbend.usautos.net. Inventory is updated on a daily basis.

“It’s the most up-to-date way to buy a car because you really have current information,” said Michael Bennett, publisher of Leader Publications.

The magazine also contains QR Codes allowing users access to the contents of the entire book or a specific dealer’s inventory via their smart phone.

Users can also text codes found within the magazine to get more information about vehicles, including photos, specifications and features.

If you’d prefer to call a dealer, phone numbers are in the book and online, too.

“I don’t know if there’s anything like it in the area,” Bennett said. “It really allows you to find what you want, the way you want to find it.”

The auto book provides vehicle listings by make and model in alphabetical order.

For people on a budget, the back of the book features vehicles under $10,000 listed by price, high to low.

Auto book covers will run in various Leader Publications print products, including the Leader.
