Taylor’s two defensive scores lead Niles to victory
Published 11:23am Thursday, August 30, 2012COLDWATER – The Niles JV football team posted a 30-14 win over Coldwater Wednesday.
The Vikings’ offense was led by Dontrell Willis, who rushed for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Alex Bata added 80 yards and a score, while Jason Taylor finished with 89 yards from his quarterback position.
Defensively, Niles had Taylor with an interception he returned for a touchdown and he also stripped a Cardinal player and returned it for a score.
Dwayne West picked off a pass in the Coldwater end zone to stop a drive.
Other top defenders were Bata, Bostin Hand, Ted Jackowiak and Logan Ortiz-Leonard.
