Dowagiac JV rally to defeat Otsego 21-12
Published 8:31am Thursday, August 30, 2012OTSEGO – Visiting Dowagiac rallied from a 12-7 deficit in the second half to win 21-12 over Otsego Wednesday.
“We really put it together in the second half,” Dowagiac coach Matt Alward said. “Our defense was the story tonight. We not only shut them out, but Brandon Hatch scored on a pick-six (interception return for a touchdown) as well.”
Also scoring for the Chieftains were Devon Chapman and Bryce Dodd.
“I was very happy with how the team responded after a lackluster start to the game,” Alward said.
