May E. Hunsberger, 84, of Dowagiac, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Cass County Medical Care Facility.
May’s life began on May 5, 1928, in Evanston, Ill., the daughter of George and Elsie (McClintock) Ludwig. She was united in marriage to Edward G. Hunsberger on Dec. 1, 1946, in Dowagiac.
May was employed by Old Kent Bank for many years as a customer service representative. She was a member of the Dowagiac Women of the Moose Lodge.
Her loving family includes her daughter, Jacquelyn Groth, of Dowagiac; daughter-in-law, Gail (Lee) West, of Dowagiac; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lester and Robert Ludwig, both of Colorado; sister, Margaret Underwood, of California; sister-in-law, Joan Garrett, of Dowagiac; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 2001; son, Bradley E. Hunsberger, in 1984; and sisters, Marion Brehm and Mildred Dobner.
