Neva (Jones) Walsh was born, the youngest of eight children, on Oct. 21, 1917, in Sherwood, Mich., to Byron and Daisy (Hower) Jones.

She was a longtime resident of Dowagiac and spent the majority of her life residing where she loved, on Indian Lake. She passed away peacefully at age 93, on Sept. 24, 2011, at Del Mar Gardens in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Neva is survived by two daughters, Karen Wagner, of Cleveland, Ga., and Doneita Walsh, of Carnation, Wash.; four granddaughters, Tracie Blume, of Buford, Ga., Tonia Pettitt, of Buford, Kari Croasmun, of Sugar Hill, Ga., and Ashley Fecho, of Duluth, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Blume, Blake Blume, Taylor Leigh Croasmun and Lucas Croasmun; and numerous other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

A memorial service honoring her spirit will be held Wednesday, July 11, at 1 p.m. at Bowerman Funeral Home in Eau Claire.

In keeping with her wishes, Neva’s cremains will be interred in the Eau Claire cemetery, Eau Claire, immediately following the memorial service.
