VICKSBURG — The Wolverine Conference golf championship came down to a single point at Angels Crossing Wednesday.

Otsego was able to hold off Vicksburg to claim the 2012 league championship. The Bulldogs, who finished second in the conference tournament, edged Vicksburg 26-25 to take the title.

Vicksburg won the tournament with a score of 320 Wednesday. Otsego was second at 322 and defending league champion Dowagiac third with 329.

Logan Haight of Otsego, Jon Freese of Three Rivers and Ryan Muzljakovich of Vicksburg shared medalist honors after finishing with an 18-hole total of 76.

Dowagiac’s Cody Fairleigh and Jordan Juday both finished in the top 10 after shooting 79 and 81 respectively.

The Chieftains also got an 83 from Christian Hess, an 86 from Jon Robinson and a 92 from Andrew Wild.
