Riverfront Cafe shuts doors

The Riverfront Cafe in downtown Niles closed Friday evening and has not since reopened.

Current owner Tom Watson declined to comment on the closing and whether it would reopen.

Located at 219 Front St., the restaurant was under the management of Bill Thistlethwaite and head chef Andrew Thistlethwaite since 2008.

Tammy Watson ran the restaurant from 2004 to 2007.

The Riverfront Cafe’s Facebook page says the Thistlethwaites are no longer affiliated with the Riverfront Cafe.
