Ashley Crotser, daughter of Laurie and Barry Crotser of Three Rivers, is engaged to Joel Sparks, son of Dawn and Carl Sparks of Cassopolis.

The bride-elect is attending nursing school at Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa.

The future groom is a graduate of Michigan State University and is attending Iowa State University for his doctorate in veterinary medicine.

An Aug. 5 wedding is planned.
