CASSOPOLIS – Marian F. Pompey, 90, of Dowagiac, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at Cass County Medical Care Facility, Cassopolis, after an extended illness.

She was born Dec. 12, 1918, in Dowagiac.

She is survived by: a sister, Annabelle Boyd of Dowagiac; a brother, Richard Gillam of Decatur; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: two sisters, Edith Gillam and Dorothy Shaw; and three brothers, Arthur Gillam, Edward Gillam and Delmar Gillam.

Marian was a retired waitress for the former Harvey McKay coffee shop in Dowagiac.
She belonged to Victory Tabernacle in Dowagiac.

Cremation will take place.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. at Victory Tabernacle.
Officiating will be the Rev. Jerry Jackson, assistant pastor of the church.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday an hour before the service in the church.
Memorials may be made to Cass County Council on Aging in Cassopolis.
