Troopers from the Michigan State Police Bridgman Post are attempting to locate two registered sex offenders who have been released from the Berrien County Jail system. The release of these subjects was discovered during an audit of the current jail population by troopers.

The first subject is Alfonso Gibbs, a 32-year-old black male formerly of Benton Township. Gibbs was released from the Berrien County Jail on June 29. Since his release, Gibbs has failed to report a current address or comply with his reporting duties as required by law. Gibbs was convicted of criminal sexual conduct involving force of coercion in 1996. The name of the second offender is not being released pending a warrant issued for the subject’s arrest.

Anyone with information regarding this wanted subject is asked to contact the Michigan State Police Bridgman Post at (269) 465-3111.
