HAMBURG, Mich. – Dr. Richard S. Dillman, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at home.
He was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Kalamazoo, the son of Gordon White and Helen Esther (Conklin) Dillman.
On Feb. 22, 2008, in Howell, Richard married Mary Ellan Myers. His wife survives.
Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of Kalamazoo College and of the University of Michigan School of Anesthesiology. He was licensed in seven states.
He was a member of the Eagle Scouts, the American Medical Association and Hamburg VFW Post 1224.
His first wife of 49 years, Mary Grace Wick Dillman, preceded him in death on July 6, 1998.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: his children, Thomas Dillman of Lansing, Mary (Craig) Pequinot of Dexter, Linda (Dennis) Rhodes of St. Augustine, Fla., and grandchildren Kevin and Peter Dillman.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
