Martha Jean Robertson Bottorff / 1926-2009
Published 9:39am Monday, October 12, 2009Martha Jean Robertson Bottorff, 83, loving wife and mother, died at sunrise on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, surrounded by her husband and children.
Friends and family will spend time reminiscing about their memories of Martha on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bubb Funeral Chapel, Main Street, Mishawaka, Ind., where her funeral will be held on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden.
She was born on Feb. 11, 1926, to Robert and Faye Day of Niles.
On Oct. 30, 1945, she married Ellis Robertson and settled in Mishawaka, Ind. to make her home and raise her family.
She loved playing golf, Notre Dame football, bowling and traveling to Florida.
Her husband Ellis died on March 1, 1990.
On June 5, 1999, she married Max Bottorff, a long time family friend who took loving care of her until her death.
Martha’s family was the center of her life. She found joy in each wedding and birth of each grandchild.
Her prayers were always for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Michiana Community Church of God and her many friends will miss her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Ellis Robertson and her son, Bill Robertson.
Surviving family include her husband, Max Bottorff of Mishawaka, Ind.; her brother, Bill Day of Florida; her sons, Barry (Jill) Robertson of St. Joseph and Gregory (Theresa) Robertson of Osceola, Ind.; a daughter, Rebecca (Dan) Dosmann of Granger, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Jodie (Paul) Zeuke of Arnoldsville, Ga., Jennifer (Mike) Morris of Noblesville, Ind., Tom Robertson of Osceola, Ind., Melissa Robertson of Chicago, Ill., Joe Robertson of Osceola, Ind., Gregory (Megan) Dosmann of Chicago, Ill. and Michelle (Mike) Grabarek of Mishawaka, Ind. and great-grandchildren, Emily, Rebecca and Aubrey Fearnow, Tyler Eberly, Derek and Drew Bollenbacher, Noah and Shelby Morris and Avery Camryn Dosmann.
Memorial donations may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care or to the Michiana Church of God.
