Ill. man thrown from ORV in Wayne
Published 8:25am Monday, October 12, 2009CASSOPOLIS – Sheriff Joseph Underwood Jr. reports that on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 4:05 p.m. in Wayne Township, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Glenwood Road and Gage Street in reference to an off-road vehicle (ORV) crash with injuries.
Upon arriving on scene, deputies found Alecsander Campbell, 20, from Gardner, Ill., lying on the side of the road.
Campbell was injured and unresponsive.
It appeared Campbell was southbound on Glenwood and lost control of his ORV at the intersection.
Campbell and the ORV overturned and he was thrown from the ORV.
Campbell was not wearing a helmet.
Campbell was treated by Coloma Ambulance Service and flown from the scene by Life Care. Alcohol was not a factor.
