Published 8:44am Tuesday, October 6, 2009Lucille Walker, 96, of Niles, formerly of Dowagiac, passed away at 3 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at Silverbrook Manor in Niles.
Lucille’s life began on Jan. 3, 1915, in Blytheville, Ark., the daughter of Thornton and Martha (Small) Johnson.
She was united in marriage to Herman Walker on July 8, 1955, in Benton Harbor.
He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1990.
Her friends will gather on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home.
Her home going services will be held at 11 a.m. led by the Rev. Tyrone Pace, pastor of Second Baptist Church.
