Whether you want to start or grow your business, SCORE workshops are a valuable way to learn more about doing business and a convenient forum for networking with other business professionals.
SCORE matches volunteer business-management counselors with present and prospective small business owners in need of expert advice.
In addition to free face-to-face counseling, SCORE offers free and low-cost workshops and seminars for both start-up and in-business entrepreneurs. Workshops and seminars are open to all U.S. citizens over the age of 13.
Workshop topics include writing a business plan, doing a feasibility study, starting a business, financing a business, home-based business startup and surviving the recession.
Workshops also offer an opportunity to interact with other local small business owners. Many workshop presenters are practicing professionals, including accountants, lawyers, bankers and business managers from diverse businesses and industries. Other facilitators are SCORE counselors who have years of industry and business experience.
