Published 3:01pm Wednesday, September 30, 2009VANDALIA – Since 1954, youth in grades third through 12 have learned to memorize and learn the Bible (King James Version) in a fun and exciting way, while also qualifying for college scholarships. Second graders are also invited to join.
Curtis and Bianca L. May of Vandalia will host an informational meeting about Bible Quizzing on Sunday Oct. 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the John B. Cooper Vandalia Youth Recreation Building, 18035 State St., Vandalia.
Local area Christian youth pastors, ministers, youth workers, parents and children and others concerned with helping youth learn the Word of God are invited to attend the informational sessions.
Bible Quizzing is a wonderful and fun way of instilling God’s Word into the hearts of our youth. Youth are encouraged to learn the discipline of memorizing, knowing and understanding God’s Word. Bible quizzing can open the door to serious Bible study.
Quiz equipment will be available for viewing and a short Bible quiz session demonstration will be presented. Attendees will be shown how to prepare local area youth to participate in Benton Harbor’s Christian Youth Ministry’s Bible Quiz League held October through April.
