Vehicle hits downed tree on Bulhand Road, Calvin
Published 8:41am Tuesday, September 29, 2009CASSOPOLIS – Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on Monday, Sept. 28, at 6:17 a.m. his office handled a single-vehicle, personal-injury crash on Bulhand Rd in Calvin Township
Amy Cope, 26, of Cassopolis, and her passenger, Joshua Wieser, 29, also of Cassopolis, were traveling south on Bulhand when they crashed into a downed tree across the road after cresting a hill.
Cope was transported to Lakeland Hospital in Niles. Her passenger was uninjured.
Assisting at the scene were Life Care Ambulance and Penn Township Fire Department.
Seatbelts were used.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, deputies reported.
