Two home invasion suspects apprehended

CASSOPOLIS – Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his office apprehended two subjects while investigating several home invasions that occurred at 4 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14

Deputies were called to Warren Drive in Pokagon Township, where a person called after finding two people in her bedroom.

Deputies, assisted by Dowagiac police, followed the suspects’ trail and located them a short time later.

Further investigation led to the recovery of property and 11 other home invasions in the area.

It is apparent that the suspects were involved in several larceny from vehicle complaints in the areas in and around the City of Dowagiac, the sheriff reported.

The suspects were arrested and are awaiting arraignment in Fourth District Court on Tuesday.

The case involved officers from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Dowagiac Police Department and the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team.
