Emma Jean Fultz, age 80, of Osceola, Ind., formerly of Niles, passed away at her residence on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009.

There will be no visitation or services.

Emma Jean was born May 26, 1929, in Louisville, Ky. to the late John and Ida (Braun) Helm.

In 1947, Emma Jean was united in marriage to the Frederick Lee Fultz, who died in 2005.
She was also preceded in death by her infant son Frederick Lee Fultz Jr. and her son Fred Lee Fultz.

Surviving are her children, Mark Lee Fultz of Osceola, Ind. and Sharon Elrod of Niles; a daughter-in-law, Karen Fultz; eight grandchildren, as well as her best friend Mercy Priest.

She was employed for many years as a business manager with an advertising corporation until her retirement in 2000.

She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida, Europe, and Hawaii. In her spare time, she also enjoyed reading.

The Fultz family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the many caregivers who assisted during Emma Jean’s time of need; especially Dr. Smith of Memorial Hospital for her care and compassion toward others.
