Niles soccer team blanked by Bridgman, 3-0
Published 8:23am Wednesday, August 26, 2009BRIDGMAN – After a scoreless first half, host Bridgman picked up a trio of goals in the final 40 minutes to defeat Niles 3-0 in a non-conference match on Tuesday.
Bridgman scored its three goals in the span of 18 minutes in the second half to get the victory.
Both teams finished the game with seven shots and both goalkeepers made six saves.
“We played a strong first half and controlled the tempo for most of it,” Niles coach Jerry Holtgren said. “We generated some good opportunities but didn’t finish.”
