Rodriguez says he never saw trouble with Justin Feagin

ANN ARBOR – Hoping to put the troubles of last season behind him, second-year Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez faced another firestorm on Monday when the Wolverines opened fall drills.

Quarterback Justin Feagin was kicked off the team last month for his part in a failed concaine deal.

It apparently wasn’t the first time Feagin had been in trouble with the law.

While in high school, the seldom used signal caller, was arrested twice for battery and trespassing.

Rodriquez told reporters that he never knew of Feagin’s issues with the law, nor did it come up during the recruiting process.

Feagin was part of the 2008 class, Rodriguez’s first for Michigan.
