‘Big’ Hole Scramble Aug. 23 at Spruce Ridge

The Dowagiac “Big” Hole Scramble will be held on Sunday, Aug. 23 at Spruce Ridge Golf Club.

The event will benefit both the boys and girls basketball programs at Dowagiac.

There will be a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $50 per person.

There will be cash and door prizes, a closest to the pin contest, a longest drive contest, $20 team skins, $20 mulligans, a hog roast and refreshments.

Great Lakes Lightning trouts Aug. 22 and 29

The Great Lakes Lightning 14U softball team will be holding tryouts on Aug. 22 and 29.
The tryouts will be held at Bridgman High School beginning at noon.
